International Call for Papers
The Brazilian PostgreSQL User Group is proud to invite you to participate
in PGCon Brazil 2009. After the realization of
PGCon Brazil 2007
and PGCon Brazil 2008,
we invite the international community to submit lecture proposals to our third
release of this event. PGCon Brazil 2008 will happen October 23 and 24, at Unicamp
Instructions:
- You need to choose between one of 4 (four) possible formats of talks:
- Regular Talk for basic/intermediary knowledge public with duration up to 50 minutes, including time for questions;
- Advanced Talk for advanced knowledge public with duration up to 50 minutes, including time for questions;
- Tutorial Will have up 110 minutes, including time for questions. Pratice demonstration is better than just a longer talk, so we appreciate it;
- Hacker Talks for people who wants to contribute to community. They may have 30 to 120 minutes of duration, including time for questions. Hacker Talks will be performed in VIP Room with capacity at most 25 people. In these hacker talks we expect more interaction between public and speaker and International speakers may speak English without any translation.
- There is no submissions limit for a speaker;
- PGCon Brazil 2009 has no responsibility for trip costs, but can fund the accommodations for international speakers. Any sponsorship who wants to fund the trip expenses will be automatically recognized as a PGCon Silver Sponsor.
- Only submissions done according the calendar will be accepted;

following information in the body:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Biographic notes (up to 500 characters)
- Title of presentation
- Resume of presentation (up to 500 characters)
- Type of talk (regular talk, advanced talk, tutorial or hacker talk)
- Full description of presentation (up to 3000 characters)
- Where you will come from (country, city)
- Language you prefer to use
- Other languages that you feel comfortable in

- 2009-05-30 — Call for papers publication;
- 2009-07-14 — Deadline for proposals;
- 2009-06-30 — Deadline for proposals;
- 2009-07-31 — Deadline for paper selection;
- 2009-08-02 — Deadline for confirmation of presence of speakers;
- 2009-08-03 — Deadline for papers publication;
- 2009-09-20 — Deadline for slides drafts;
